Recap: Ottawa vs. Florida

Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Turris had a goal and two assists, leading the Ottawa Senators to a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

Bobby Ryan, Erik Karlsson and Curtis Lazar also scored for Ottawa, which finished 3-1-1 on its five-game homestand.

Andrew Hammond made 21 saves for his second win in his second NHL start.

Aleksander Barkov supplied the lone goal for the Panthers, who had their two- game winning streak snapped.

Roberto Luongo allowed all four Ottawa goals on 39 shots.

Not even three minutes after Florida struck first, Ottawa was able to draw even. The defense was caught watching the puck, and Turris was able to get to the far post and one-time Mark Stone's pass behind Luongo.

Ryan's 15th goal of the season gave the Senators the lead in the second period. Alex Chiasson's hard work along the boards kept possession alive in the offensive zone before Turris unleashed a shot from the point that was deflected by Ryan.

Ottawa added an insurance goal eight minutes into the third period. Karlsson jumped into the play in transition, and he snapped a shot by Luongo on the rush to put the Senators up two goals.

A few minutes later, the Senators scored a similar goal, taking advantage of the defense getting aggressive in the comeback bid. Erik Condra's pass set up a 2-on-1 with Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Lazar, and Pageau's pass sent Lazar into the zone before he knocked the puck, and Luongo, into the net.

The Panthers went up 1-0 just 7 1/2 minutes into the game. Instead of shooting from point-blank range, Jonathan Huberdeau passed to Barkov at the side of the net, and Hammond could not move to his left fast enough to make the stop.

Game Notes

Karlsson has 10 points during his six-game point streak ... Turris moved past 200 career points ... Florida's Gerard Gallant coached his 200th NHL game.
