Recap: Nashville vs. Anaheim

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Jakob Silfverberg scored twice and the Anaheim Ducks put the brakes on the Nashville Predators' franchise-best nine- game home winning streak with a 5-2 victory on Thursday.

The teams entered the game tied atop the NHL standings with 72 points apiece.

Sami Vatanen, Matt Beleskey and Corey Perry also scored for the Ducks, who won despite not having captain Ryan Getzlaf in the lineup. Getzlaf aggravated a lower-body injury during warmups.

"It's a tough building to win in, but we did it today, and that's great," Silfverberg said.

Frederik Andersen made 44 saves for Anaheim, which improved to 15-6-3 on the road this season.

James Neal and Colin Wilson lit the lamp for the Predators, who lost at home for the first time since Dec. 6.

Pekka Rinne stopped 21-of-25 shots in his return to the lineup. He missed eight games with a knee injury.

"I think there was a lot of tough bounces that happened for him right away," Predators coach Peter Laviolette said of Rinne.

Silfverberg gave Anaheim a 1-0 lead 3:08 into the first period while shorthanded. He gained control of his own rebound and used a backhander to beat Rinne.

Vatanen made it 2-0 at 13:04 on a shot from the right point that deflected past Rinne.

Beleskey one-timed a pass from Rickard Rakell from the slot past Rinne at 3:51 of the second period. Less than a minute later, Silfverberg redirected Cam Fowler's shot past Rinne.

Wilson put the Predators on the board four minutes into the third by jamming home a rebound. Neal made it 4-2 with a power-play goal at 15:53.

But Perry scored an empty-net goal with 1:19 remaining to put the game out of reach.
