Recap: St. Louis vs. Nashville

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Paul Stastny broke a tie with 5:54 remaining in the third period, and the St. Louis Blues beat the Nashville Predators 4-3 at Scottrade Center.

Stastny won a faceoff and then deflected Kevin Shattenkirk's shot from the right point past Pekka Rinne for the go-ahead tally.

T.J. Oshie returned to the lineup after missing the last seven St. Louis games with a concussion and scored his first goal of the season.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Carl Gunnarsson both registered a goal and an assist and Jake Allen made 22 saves for the Blues, who have won nine of their last 10 games. The lone loss was to the same visiting Predators last Saturday.

Filip Forsberg scored in his sixth straight game and picked up two assists for Nashville, which had its win streak snapped at three games.

"We were battling all the way until the end. With a little luck, we could have tied it up," Forsberg said.

Roman Josi joined Forsberg with three points, while Rinne stopped 23 shots.

Oshie beat a screened Rinne with a wrist shot from the high slot on a power play 3:25 into the game.

"Good screen by (Jaden) Schwartz in front of the net and a great play by Tarasenko to get me the puck up top," Oshie said.

The Predators fell into a 2-0 hole at 12:45 of the first period on a goal by Gunnarsson, but Forsberg quickly cut the deficit in half. The rookie forward fired the puck from the right circle past Allen's blocker 36 seconds later.

Nashville tied it on Shea Weber's booming slap shot from the top of the right circle at 3:41 of the second period.

The Blues regained the lead when Tarasenko cut across the Nashville zone with the puck and fired a wrister in off the glove of Rinne with 4:42 left in the middle stanza.

Josi then scored on a right-point shot, tying the game with four-tenths of a second remaining before the second intermission.
