Recap: Nashville vs. Calgary

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Colborne scored the winner in the shootout as the Calgary Flames nabbed a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

Colborne was the first shooter for Calgary and he faked to the forehand before stuffing it past Pekka Rinne. Karri Ramo made saves on James Neal and Olli Jokinen to preserve the win.

Mark Giordano and TJ Brodie scored goals in regulation, while Ramo turned away 19 shots for the Flames, who have won two of three.

"I didn't see many pucks today, but made a couple key saves," Ramo said.

Filip Forsberg and Mike Ribeiro scored a goal apiece, and Rinne stopped 26 shots in the loss for the Predators, who dropped their first game of the season after opening with consecutive wins.

"You give Calgary credit. They came in here and played a hard-working game and earned the two points," said Nashville head coach Peter Laviolette.

Nashville scored the first goal of the game at 8:46 of the first period on a one-timer from the left circle by Forsberg.

The Flames tied the game halfway through the first as Brodie threw a backhand on net while skating down the right wing and it deflected in off the stick of Anton Volchenkov.

Calgary took a 2-1 lead at 5:19 of the second with a power-play goal when Giordano fired home a wrister from the slot.

The Predators, though, tied the game 10 minutes later as Ribeiro put home a rebound at the right side for his first of the season.

Ramo made eight saves through the third period and overtime, while Rinne stopped 11 shots during the same time.
