Recap: Ottawa vs. NY Islanders

Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Ryan Strome registered a goal and an assist, as the New York Islanders downed the Ottawa Senators, 4-1, on Sunday at Canadian Tire Centre.

Ryan Pulock, Brock Nelson and Riley Wetmore each scored once, while Evgeni Nabokov stopped 14-of-15 shots for the Islanders, who will open the regular season on Oct. 4 in New Jersey against the Devils.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau potted the lone Ottawa goal, while Craig Anderson allowed all four goals on 23 shots for the Senators, who will start their regular- season slate with a road test against the Sabres on Oct. 4.
