Recap: Edmonton vs. Calgary

Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Sven Baertschi scored the game-winning goal in the first round of the shootout, as the Calgary Flames edged the Edmonton Oilers, 6-5, in a preseason split-squad game at Rexall Place.

Baertschi and Roman Horak both beat Edmonton goalie Olivier Roy in the shootout, while Calgary netminder Reto Berra notched 13 saves before stopping both Edmonton shooters in the extra session to send the Flames to victory.

Josh Jooris potted a pair of goals in the third, while Lance Bouma also added a marker in the frame as the Flames rallied from a 5-2 deficit to tie the game and force a shootout.

Taylor Hall scored once, while Jesse Joensuu added a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who received 12 saves from starting netminder Devan Dubnyk.
