Ducks recall D Vatanen for Game 3

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks recalled defenseman Sami Vatanen from their American Hockey League affiliate in Norfolk prior to Thursday's Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Kings.

Vatanen posted six goals and 15 assists over 48 regular-season games with the Ducks in 2013-14 and finished the campaign tied for fifth among rookie NHL defenseman in goals.

The Ducks, who dropped the first two games of their best-of-seven series against the Kings, reassigned forward Emerson Etem to Norfolk to make room for Vatanen.

Etem, 21, went scoreless in four postseason games with the Ducks after posting seven goals and four assists over 29 regular-season contests.
