Anaheim, CA ( - The Anaheim Ducks locked up another key contributor with a long-term contract, signing forward Andrew Cogliano to a four-year extension through the 2017-18 season on Saturday.

TSN of Canada reported the deal to be worth $12 million over its duration.

Cogliano, who would have been an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2013-14 campaign, is in the midst of one of the best seasons of his seven- year career. The former Edmonton Oilers first-round pick currently ranks third among Anaheim players with 13 goals while adding 12 assists and a plus-16 rating over 43 games.

The 26-year-old has compiled 96 goals and 124 assists over 501 career NHL games and has yet to miss one since breaking into the league with the Oilers in 2007. Only St. Louis' Jay Bouwmeester and Vancouver's Henrik Sedin have a longer streak of consecutive games among active players.

Anaheim acquired Cogliano from the Oilers in July of 2011 in exchange for a second-round selection in the 2013 draft.

Cogliano is the second player the Ducks have signed to an extension during this season, with center Nick Bonino inking a three-year deal in November.
