Green Bay, WI ( - The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Matt Flynn and placed quarterback Seneca Wallace on injured reserve.

Flynn, in his sixth year in the league, was drafted by the Packers in 2008 and spent his first four seasons with them (2008-2011). Flynn threw for 480 yards and six touchdowns in his second start for the Packers in 2011.

Flynn has played for the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills since leaving Green Bay.

The Louisiana State product, Flynn, will back up Scott Tolzien, who replaced Wallace after a groin injury took him to the bench Sunday. In his first NFL action, Tolzien completed 24-of-39 passes for 280 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Wallace had replaced Aaron Rodgers after he fractured his collarbone against the Chicago Bears on Monday Nov. 4.
