Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Raiders signed linebacker Khalil Mack, the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, to his rookie contract on Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not released, but under the NFL's rookie wage scale, Mack is expected to make $18.7 million, fully guaranteed, over four years. The deal also includes an $11.9 million signing bonus and a fifth-year option, according to reports.
Mack started all 48 games he appeared in over four seasons at the University of Buffalo. He garnered first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors in his final three seasons and was an All-American selection in the final two.
The 23-year-old Mack set an NCAA record by forcing 16 fumbles during his time at Buffalo and finished his collegiate career with 327 tackles, 28 1/2 sacks, four interceptions and 21 passes defensed.
