Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Bengals have signed defensive tackle Domata Peko to a two-year contract extension through the 2016 season.

Peko's deal was slated to expire after the upcoming 2014 campaign. He started all 16 games at nose tackle last year and notched a career-high three sacks with 52 tackles.

"Domata has been a significant and productive player for our defense for many years now, and we are excited to extend his time here even longer," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis in a statement Thursday. "He is a leader among our veterans and a mentor for our younger players, and securing his future as a Bengal through the next three seasons is another positive step in continuing to improve our team."

Peko has been a starter on the defensive line since his second season of 2007 and his string of 67 straight starts, including the postseason, is the longest current streak on the Cincinnati roster.

The Michigan State product was selected by the Bengals in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
