San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell was carted off the field late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Campbell went head-first into a pile at the end of a run by the 49ers' Frank Gore and was on the ground for several minutes before being taken off on a stretcher. The team said he was moving all his extremities and was being taken to a hospital to be checked out.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pound end has played all six of his NFL seasons for the Cardinals and has 31 career sacks.
