Recap: LA Clippers vs. Phoenix

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Paul scored 32 points with nine assists and five rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 120-107 win over the Phoenix Suns.

DeAndre Jordan helped the Clippers with a monster effort, scoring 12 points with 18 rebounds and seven blocked shots. Blake Griffin deposited 19 points, while J.J. Redick and Spencer Hawes each netted 14 in the win.

Gerald Green led Phoenix with 26 points off the bench and Goran Dragic notched 19 points for the Suns, who have lost two straight following a two- game winning streak.

Los Angeles, which has won two of its last three overall and four straight over Phoenix, broke the game open in the third quarter with a 22-5 run.

With the game tied 54-54 at the half, Paul made back-to-back 3-pointers to begin the quarter. He added another trey later in the surge and Jordan capped it with a three-point play to give the Clippers a 76-59 lead.

"I thought the third quarter was great," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said.

Los Angeles' margin swelled to as many as 26 points in the third before Phoenix clawed its way back in the fourth.

"In the third quarter we started getting stops," said Paul. "Our defense created offense."

Isaiah Thomas followed Green's trey with one of his own, then Green converted a layup to cut the deficit to 105-94 at the midway point of the fourth. Paul responded with five points over the next 1:16 to increase the cushion.

However, Alex Len converted a three-point play, which turned into a four-point play after Thomas knocked down a technical free throw when the Clippers' Matt Barnes kicked the ball up in the air for his second such foul of the night to cause an ejection. The shot brought Phoenix within 111-98.

Len, who finished with a career-high 17 points with 11 rebounds, added two more free throws to make it an 11-point deficit again. Just like the previous time, however, Paul had an answer by making a pair of free throws that preceded his 3-pointer that put the game away.

"We played decent for a half," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "Then they were hitting 3-pointers to start the second half."

P.J. Tucker's 3-ball prior to the first-quarter buzzer closed the Suns' gap to 27-23 after 12 minutes. Len later slammed a pair of dunks in succession to give Phoenix a 44-43 lead with 3:20 remaining until halftime.

Paul's runner in the closing seconds tied the game up at the break.
