Recap: Toronto vs. LA Clippers

Toronto, ON ( - The Los Angeles Clippers shot the lights out early on in Toronto Friday.

The Raptors rallied from an early 20-point deficit and rolled to a lopsided 123-107 victory behind seven double digits scorers.

DeMar DeRozan led the way with 24 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, while Kyle Lowry added 21 points in the rout. Lou Williams and James Johnson contributed 18 and 16 points, respectively, off the bench.

Los Angeles dropped three in a row for the first time all season despite three players scoring 20-plus points. Blake Griffin totaled 26 points, Chris Paul checked in with 22 and Jamal Crawford netted 20.

The Clippers were in top form early on, showing another gear as they looked to bounce back from Thursday's humbling loss in Cleveland -- a frustrating setback that saw them get whistled five technical fouls and ended with Paul criticizing a referee in a postgame interview.

They made 59 percent of their shots in the first quarter, and when Spencer Hawes made a 3-pointer less than 10 minutes in, it was a 30-10 game in their favor.

From there, the Raptors outscored them by 36 points.

"I loved the fight and tenacity we had defensively against one of the top scoring teams in the league," Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said.

Three 3-pointers in the final 2:10 of the opening frame -- two from Williams -- cut Toronto's deficit to 34-19, and James Johnson's 12-point second quarter pulled the hosts to within 59-57 at the break.

Lowry hit a runner to break a 63-63 early in the third and made two 3-pointers during the subsequent 16-2 run that gave Toronto the lead for good.

The Clippers made one field goal over the final five minutes, and Toronto was suddenly in front 95-79 at the end of three.

The difference reached 24 at one point in the fourth.

"After the first 10 minutes, we just never defended again," Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said.
