Reports: Tony Stewart hits driver at NY race track

Canandaigua, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Authorities are investigating a crash that reportedly involved Tony Stewart and an on-foot driver at a New York dirt track on Saturday.

According to multiple reports, witnesses say that Stewart struck another driver who was walking on the track after he and Stewart collided on the previous lap.

Stewart was scheduled to race on Sunday in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Watkins Glen.
