Lake Buena Vista, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Braves announced Wednesday that they have extended the contracts of manager Fredi Gonzalez and general manager Frank Wren.

Gonzalez and Wren were both entering the final year of their current deals. The team did not disclose the length of the extensions.

Gonzalez, 50, has been the team's skipper since Hall of Famer Bobby Cox retired following the 2010 season. The Braves have gone 279-207, made two playoff appearances and captured one NL East title under Gonzalez.

Wren has been the Atlanta GM since John Schuerholz was promoted to team president after the 2007 campaign. He has been very active this offseason, locking up young stars Craig Kimbrel, Freddie Freeman, Jason Heyward and Julio Teheran to new contracts.
