Recap: Toronto vs. Detroit

Dunedin, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Edwin Encarnacion and Moises Sierra homered during a five-run rally in the first inning and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Detroit Tigers 9-4 in spring training Saturday.

After Melky Cabrera's RBI double, Encarnacion hit a three-run homer and Sierra added a solo blast to make it 5-0.

All five runs came against Tigers left-hander Kyle Lobstein, who gave up eight hits and a walk in three innings. Lobstein struck out four.

Toronto right-hander Todd Redmond had eight strikeouts in six innings and gave up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits and a walk.

Ezequiel Carrera had a solo homer in Detroit's four-run sixth inning.
