Recap: Los Angeles vs. Cleveland

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Clint Robinson's first career hit led to his first career RBI that lifted the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 1-0 win over the Cleveland Indians on Monday.

Dan Haren (8-4) and two LA relievers combined for a one-hitter, as the Dodgers staff retired the final 19 Cleveland hitters to end the game.

Haren was flawless in seven innings of one-hit ball, with Michael Bourn's two- out single in the third the only base hit on the night for the visitors.

Brian Wilson pitched a clean eighth inning to set up Kenley Jansen, who went 1-2-3 in the ninth to pick up his 25th save of the season.

With the win, Los Angeles took sole possession of first place in the NL West, a half game ahead of the San Francisco Giants.

Andre Ethier tripled off the glove of Michael Brantley in left-center to lead off the seventh inning. The hit came off Cleveland starter Corey Kluber (7-6), who allowed one run on six hits and a walk over 6 2/3 innings.

"I thought Corey was tremendous," said Indians manager Terry Francona. "To give up only one run is outstanding."

Kluber didn't give in, however, inducing a groundout from Juan Uribe, then striking out A.J. Ellis for the second out in the inning.

Pinch-hitter Hanley Ramirez was intentionally walked to put runners on the corners ahead of Robinson.

Robinson was called upon to pinch-hit for Haren and the move paid off for the Dodgers. Robinson grounded a single up the middle that plated Ethier and gave the hosts the only run they needed.

"It feels great," said Robinson. "It gave the team a chance to win the ball game. That's the most important thing. It's a good feeling to know that the manager wanted me there at that time."

Cleveland's best chance at a run came in the third, when Bourn reached on an infield single to shortstop that put runners at the corners with two outs. Bourn then stole second, but Asdrubal Cabrera went down looking, which was the first batter during the Dodgers' string of outs to end the game.
