Recap: Toronto vs. Philadelphia

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Edwin Encarnacion crushed a three-run homer while Erik Kratz and Juan Francisco both added two-run shots during a dominant nine-run seventh inning that helped the Toronto Blue Jays pull away for a 10-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday.

Mark Buehrle and Cliff Lee were in a pitchers' duel before the Jays blew it open for their third straight win over the Phillies, the first two coming in Philadelphia before the teams headed north for two more at Rogers Centre.

The Jays' late outburst was overkill considering Buehrle (6-1) only needed the minimum run support in another masterful outing, as the left-hander allowed just three hits and two walks over seven scoreless frames.

"I had a couple of quick innings and got in a groove," said Buehrle.

Lee (3-3) only allowed two hits through the first six innings and both came in the third when Colby Rasmus singled and Steve Tolleson doubled with one away.

Jose Reyes followed with a sacrifice fly, and it stayed 1-0 until Lee imploded in the seventh. Encarnacion led off the inning with a triple off the center- field wall, and Kratz, who played in Philadelphia the previous three seasons, took his former batterymate into the second deck in left.

Dioner Navarro kept the sudden hit parade going with a single, and Francisco narrowly cleared the right-field wall for his fourth home run of the year.

Lee was pulled after giving up a one-out double to Tolleson, and when Tolleson scored on a Mario Hollands wild pitch, Lee's line ended with six runs allowed on seven hits.

"It was just one of those innings where they hit everything," Lee said. "They didn't miss a pitch."

Jose Bautista made it 7-0 with an RBI single, and Encarnacion capped the massive frame with a tape-measure moonshot to left-center.

The lengthy inning forced Buehrle out of the game having thrown 65 of his 101 pitches for strikes, and Sergio Santos and Chad Jenkins each tossed a flawless inning of relief to complete the three-hit shutout.

Game Notes

Buehrle lowered his ERA to 1.91 ... Bautista has reached base safely in all 34 of his games this year ... Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins was not in the starting lineup for a third straight game because of a groin issue ... Thursday's game will be the 20,000th in Phillies history ... Toronto has won seven straight meetings against Philadelphia.
