Recap: Georgia vs. Kentucky

Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Todd Gurley scored two touchdowns and finished with 167 all-purpose yards as the Georgia Bulldogs recorded a resounding, 59-17, victory over the Kentucky Wildcats at Sanford Stadium.

Gurley rushed for 77 yards on eight carries and also had 90 yards and two scores through the air on five receptions for Georgia (7-4, 5-3 SEC). Aaron Murray threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns on 18-of-23 passing but was lifted late in the first half and taken to a local hospital after sustaining an injury to his left knee. Hutson Mason filled in for Murray and threw for 189 yards and a touchdown on 13-of-19 passing. Rhett McGowan had seven receptions for 90 yards and a score as well.

Dyshawn Mobley rushed for 92 yards and a score on 10 carries for Kentucky (2-9, 0-7), which has lost 15-straight games in league play. Maxwell Smith threw for 149 yards and a touchdown on 10-of-16 passing and Javess Blue had 93 yards and a touchdown on five receptions.

Murray threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter with a nine-yard strike to McGowan, a 16-yard toss to Gurley and a one-yard throw to Arthur Lynch.

Mobley finally got Kentucky on the board with a 69-yard touchdown run before the first period ended.

Murray's fourth touchdown pass of the game came in the beginning of the second quarter when he connected with Lynch from eight yards out.

Kentucky would get a 24-yard field goal from Joe Mansour in response.

Gurley scored his second touchdown of the game just before intermission on a 24-yard reception from Mason.

Mason, J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas each scored on touchdown runs in the third quarter to further extend the Bulldogs' lead.

A 41-yard field goal from Marshall Morgan ended the scoring for Georgia.

Blue brought in his touchdown reception from 30 yards out near the end of the fourth quarter.

Georgia had 602 yards of total offense and 35 first downs while Kentucky had only 211 total yards and 10 first downs.
