War veteran, Sean Baptiste, moved to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina to help rebuild homes that were destroyed. Now he's asking for help in return. After several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Baptiste was seriously injured. When he returned home, he knew he would need a bigger bedroom and bathroom to accommodate his disabilities. Friends helped him gut the home down to studs, but that's where assistance stopped. Now there are exposed wires, holes in the floor, and construction materials littered around the house, but Baptiste understands that his friends did all they could.

He says, “They have families. They have other obligations, and of course they're up in Hattiesburg, so driving down, driving back home, you know, it’s become difficult to find friends to help.” Contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, or anyone interested in helping Baptiste should contact Dan Miller at (228) 539-4930 or at danbarb@bellsouth.net.
