Even though the holiday is over, your tree could still be useful. There are several locations throughout south Mississippi to drop off your tree for recycling. Here's are some of the sites in Jackson County. There are five locations to choose from, including drop offs at the Jackson County Rubbish Site and the Jackson County Fairgrounds. There are three drop off locations in Harrison County as well. The other locations for drop off are: The Ken Combs Pier parking lot in Gulfport, Mississippi Power on Lorraine Road, and the Espy Avenue soccer fields in west Harrison County. The trees will be recycled and be used for things like making compost. Recycling the trees also helps save space in local landfills. Of course, only real trees will be accepted. The trees should not have any lights or decorations on them.
