Potential employees had their resumes ready at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center. The group, Unemployment Eliminators, stands committed to helping job seekers with employers. Thursday's job fair helped connect hundreds of veterans, students, recent graduates, and those just looking for new employment with prospective employers from all over the Gulf Coast.
Job fairs have been found to be excellent places to learn, network, and of course, find a job. Some of the employers spoke about the quality of employees they found there. Rick Jones, Director of Operations for Paradigm Investment Group, says, "We've kind of run the gamut today, and we are able to use people with different skill sets, from top bottom to better help our organization."
Lee Brown, Director of Human Resources for Paradigm Investment Group, says, "I know we had about 100 people to sign into our booth, we probably got 20 to 30 potential employees, and as far as managers, we probably got five potential managers, and three of those are military vets who have come home.”
Unemployment Eliminators is planning another job fair on the Coast sometime in October.
