Anniston Elementary had quite a field day today at their Fun Run. Instead of selling candy or snacks, students were sponsored to run. Many guests joined in to cheer on the group of kids that earned the most money for their school, including athletes from Gulfport High School and even players from the Mississippi Surge hockey team. Kyle Kudroch, a player for the Mississippi Surge, says, “For us to help, it’s awesome to see the kids run and see the smiles on their faces. It puts a smile on our face and we couldn't be happier to do it. What we did out here today was the Fun Run, for the kids to see that being fit is important and I think it's a good thing. What we did out here was awesome, for the kids and for us.” Everyone cheered on the elementary students as they ran and collected autographs.
