The Taste of Home Cooking School shared home cooking tips Thursday night at the Hard Rock Casino. Culinary specialist, Michelle Roberts, is hosting the cooking session for both new and avid home chefs. The step by step demonstration will feature dishes best for this season. The Taste of Home Cooking School features recipes submitted by home cooks across the country. This event is just one of approximately 300 events the Taste of Home Cooking School puts on each year.

Reggie Bates, the event coordinator, says, “I'm looking forward to all the food, the great sampling, a lot of food. She's going to do ten different dishes from one of the cookbooks that are in the goody bags tonight, and just to see how she does everything and everything that can be bought locally that she's doing. So we're excited about her coming and to show us how to cook.” The focus of Thursday's event was to make food that home chefs can easily buy and prepare from stores nearby. Those in attendance received a gift bag and could enter for a chance to win several different door prizes.
