It wasn't all bad news at Congressman Palazzo's veterans’ forum Tuesday morning. Many veterans who attended the meeting shared their own positive stories. One woman offered a more hopeful tale about the healthcare she received from the Biloxi VA Hospital.

Former Air Force nurse, Phyllis Luttman, admitted it took some time to get in the system, but once she was cleared, it was smooth sailing. Luttman says, “I do receive podiatry care there, and my god they are wonderful! You have to see a P.C.M. once a year and they call me, ‘You forgot to see your P.C.M. this year.’ The people there are wonderful, the staff is great. The main problem is getting into the system.”

According to Congressman Palazzo, Congress is drafting new laws that will provide options for veterans who cannot get in to see a doctor in a timely manner or live too far away from a VA hospital.
