Lynda Favre has been without a vehicle for over a year. Favre's organization, Shepherd of the Gulf, delivers supplies to homeless camps in the area. Her services are particularly helpful to homeless people who have animal companions. Without her vehicle, Favre relies on friends to deliver the supplies. That has greatly affected how often she is able to make deliveries. “I’m so used to just putting things in my car, a tent, sleeping bag, food, pet food, and just put it in the car and go when they call me. That's what I do. I go to them.” During her childhood, Favre's family was often homeless. She says that is where her passion for helping the homeless came from. If you would like to help Favre fix her car, you can contact her at (228) 229-8980.
