Scrapin' the Coast is another big event taking place here on the Coast this weekend. Low riding vehicles started rolling into south Mississippi Friday for registration.

Twenty thousand low riders are expected at this year's event at the Coast Coliseum. They'll also be cruising along Highway 90 and other popular roads. Area business owners welcome their business, and one Biloxi hot spot is going the extra mile by providing additional trash bins.

Peter Meleones, co-owner of Hooters in Biloxi, says, “Well, we love Scrapin’ the Coast! We’ve been doing it ever since we had our first store 13 years ago down by the beach, and we love the event. We love having the crowds out here, and what we’ve found is that when given the opportunity to do the right thing, people will do it, and instead of coming in tomorrow morning to find my parking lot full of trash, we decided to get a dumpster out here for the next couple of days.” The three day event wraps up on Sunday.
