The Salvation Army MS Gulf Coast will open its Cold Weather Shelters on Tuesday (02/11) and Wednesday (02/12) this week for those needing a warm place to stay the night. Temperatures below 41 degrees are expected to move into the area. Check in begins at 4 PM at the Gulfport location and check in is available all day at the Pascagoula location. Dinner and breakfast will be provided for those staying the night.

There's a good chance that we'll be opening for Thursday night as well. If it is decided that the shelter will remain open, I will send out word around mid-day on Wednesday.

The Gulfport location is: The Salvation Army Area Command Headquarters at 2019 22nd Street.
The Pascagoula location is: The Salvation Army of Jackson County at 3217 Nathan Hale Ave.
Volunteers are needed to help run the shelter. Those interested may go to www.salvationarmymscoast.org to sign up.
