Singing River Health System (S.R.H.S.) will partner with The University of Mississippi Medical Center (U.M.M.C.) to provide a free consultation and insurance sign-up on Thursday, March 27th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m at the Gautier Convention Center, located at 2012 Library Lane in Gautier.
U.M.M.C. Navigators will be available to answer questions and help interested applicants enroll. Navigators don’t work for insurance companies nor do they charge for their services.
The event is open to the public. Anyone wishing to enroll in health insurance should bring their Social Security numbers or document numbers for legal immigrants, birth dates, pay stubs, W-2 forms or “Wage and Tax Statements”, policy numbers for any current health insurance and information about any health insurance they or their families could get from their workplace.
The Affordable Care Act is the biggest, most impactful change to healthcare in decades. It makes sure that Americans can get health insurance and have access to healthcare. Open enrollment ends March 31st, so interested applicants are encouraged to enroll now.
