Carmen Edwards, 63, was found dead in his Biloxi apartment as a result of blunt force trauma. Since that day, police have been looking Michael Floyd Wilson, also known as ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’. Today, Wilson was captured in Ocean Springs. He was found hiding under an abandoned porch. Police received a tip that Wilson was at a family member's home in Ocean Springs. Captain William Jackson of the Criminal Investigations Department for the Ocean Springs Police says, "We sent two marked patrol units to that location while they were in route. Mr. Wilson left in a white, older model Nissan Maxima." Ocean Springs Police then attempted a traffic stop. The suspect took off with a passenger. A short chase through Ocean Springs ensued. The passenger jumped out the vehicle, not wanting any part of the chase, and Wilson let him out of the vehicle and got back on Highway 90. Less than five minutes later, he was on foot and reached Gautier city limits. Captain Jackson also says, "The individual went to Highway 57, lost control of the vehicle, bailed out, and ran into the woods at that location where he was later apprehended by a K-9 officer.”

Biloxi Police have been searching for 43 year old, ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’, after 63 year old, Carmen Edwards, was found dead in his Biloxi apartment at Maison d'Orleans last week. The chase ultimately ended under an abandoned porch in Gautier after law enforcement went door-to-door, telling people to go inside. A local school was also put on lockdown. David Baggett, the Principal of Ocean Springs High School, says, "Obviously our first and foremost priority here is student and staff safety. With that in mind, we went through usual protocol to make sure the building was secure and that everyone is safe in place." Wilson's passenger is now being questioned by Biloxi Police. ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’ is no stranger to the legal system. On New Year's Eve, he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, eluding law enforcement, among other charges, and he is currently being held for violating his post-release supervision for burglary, vehicular theft, and possession of a weapon felonies. He is now facing a felony charge of eluding Ocean Springs Police. He is still being investigated by Biloxi Police in the murder of Carmen Edwards. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Biloxi Police Department.
