The Port of Gulfport is offering Community Tours to the public on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9 a.m. until noon. This is an opportunity for the public to go behind the gates and get an up close look at the Port's infrastructure and facilities.
Tour participants can board shuttle buses at P.J.’s Coffee, located at the corner of Hwy. 49 and 14th Street in in downtown Gulfport, and enjoy free coffee while they wait.
Here’s more information to know before you go:
- Port of Gulfport Community Tours are open to the public and free of charge.
- Tours are expected to last 30 minutes with shuttle departures staggered in 15 minute increments. The first shuttle will depart at 9 a.m., the second at 9:15 a.m., the next at 9:30 a.m., and so on until the last shuttle departure at noon.
- There are no age restrictions for tour participants.
- Photography is restricted in certain areas of the port due to customs and security regulations.
Downtown Gulfport has a thriving base of restaurants and retail establishments, and visitors are encouraged to enjoy these amenities before or after the Port tour.
