Sarah Palin says Mississippi State Senator, Chris McDaniel, would be an uncompromising opponent of President Barack Obama's policies and the national debt. She appeared Friday at a rally for McDaniel in Ellisville. McDaniel is challenging six-term Senator Thad Cochran for the G.O.P. nomination in Tuesday's Republican primary. Former presidential hopeful, Rick Santorum, also has endorsed McDaniel in the final days of the race.

McDaniel says, “What we have to do first of all is propose and implement a balanced budget amendment. It's no longer good enough for career politicians to tell they're going to control spending. We have to force them to control spending, and right now, the spending and the debt must be controlled for the sake of future generations. It is perhaps the most important issue facing this country, and it's one area where Senator Cochran has failed the people of Mississippi. The spending has to stop, and we're going to make sure we do it responsibly, and we're going to make sure we're fiscally conservative.” Santorum will headline a rally for Chris McDaniel Saturday in Diamondhead at 3:30 p.m.
