On November 29th, 2013, All American Check Cashing reported to the Ocean Springs Police Department that a black female, by the name of Whitney Lawanda Shelton, (D.O.B.: 1/7/1994; 4500 Hwy 57 #236; Ocean Springs, MS) had grabbed 580 dollars from the cash register and fled on foot westbound on Bienville Blvd and jumped into the passenger seat of a Ford Taurus, gray in color, after she tried to cash a money order and became upset, due to the attendant informing her that she had to apply the money order to her current outstanding balance with All American Check Cashing. Patrol Lieutenant Julian Quiroz was able to stop the vehicle, driven by Robin Tiara Shelton, (D.O.B.: 3/4/1991; 2012 West 2nd St, Long Beach MS) on Bienville Blvd. Detective Sergeant Joel England arrived on scene and placed Whitney Shelton under arrest for Robbery and placed the driver, Robin Shelton, under arrest for Accessory After the Fact after she tried to hide the cash in the vehicle. Both are currently in the Ocean Springs Municipal Jail. Whitney is under a 15,000 dollar bond and Robin is under a 10,000 dollar bond. Both are awaiting preliminary hearings on December 4th, 2013.
