Nurses are always giving back to the community with their services, but Tuesday, they were giving a little more than a helping hand. In celebration of National Nurse’s Week, the nursing staff at the Armed Forces Retirement Home hosted a blood drive with the American Red Cross. All were welcome to donate.

A nurse at the Armed Forces Retirement Home says, “We had a lot of people show up for the blood drive at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. We had a lot of our staff donate. We had nurses donate. We had some of our residents donating, and we already made our goal of 26 pints and we are not even at lunch time yet, so everyone has done a good job.” The blood drive was for Tuesday only.
