Senator John McCain spoke at a rally for Senator Thad Cochran early Monday morning at the War Memorial Building in Jackson. Senator McCain told the crowd that Cochran must be sent back to Washington.

He also told the crowd that the eyes of not only the nation, but the world will be on this election Tuesday. He also commented on what he called a lack of experience in Cochran’s opponent, State Senator Chris McDaniel.

McCain says, “I'll work with anybody, but he's got a very steep learning curve because he has no background or knowledge of the issues and challenges we are facing, including right now." Cochran is being challenged by McDaniel in Tuesday's runoff election. McDaniel held events in Meridian and Flowood Monday.
