Forums such as Women Entrepreneurs give business women a support system. Over a lunch program, women entrepreneurs network and share ideas to help their businesses grow. Participants come from diverse backgrounds, business knowledge, education, company size, and industry. The forum started in 2007 and is part of the Coast Chamber. The focus is to support and encourage working women. Amber Olsen, the founder of Women Entrepreneurs, says, "To be able to sit next to someone who knows what you're going through. Especially as women, we have children, we may have parents we are taking care of. There's a lot going on in our personal lives and we have to have that professional front too. You're next to someone who can feel that and understand that. They've been through the same thing too."
