It was a great night for dinner and a movie in the park. Friday evening, Cinema by the Shore hosted a free movie screening at Jones Park in Gulfport. About 1,000 people came to watch the movie, Dolphin Tale. There was face painting and other activities for the kids. Local restaurants set up booths and were selling food. Even the Coast Guard and the Gulport Fire Department were there with their rescue boats.

Wade Mundy of Cinema by the Shore says, “This is a fun, free, family event that we started last year. Tonight is our first event for 2014. As you can see behind me, we have a great crowd here enjoying some free family friendly entertainment and activities.” Cinema by the Shore will be showing movies all summer long on every third Friday of each month. The movies start at dusk at Jones Park.
