With all the fireworks displays happening on the Coast Friday night, expect heavy traffic. Several cities will be closing down portions of major streets on Friday night.

The cities of Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and Pascagoula will all have fireworks displays Friday night. In Gulfport, Highway 90 will be shut down between 15th Street and Highway 49 between 8:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. to allow for traffic after the Jones Park fireworks display.

In Pascagoula, starting at 6 p.m., Beach Boulevard will be closed between Westwood and Oliver Streets. The closure will be extended from Westwood to 11th Street starting at 8:45 p.m.

Finally, in Ocean Springs, festivities began on Front Beach at 7 p.m. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies will be patrolling the area, keeping everyone safe. There will be a lot of fun activities Friday night, so get out there, have fun, and be safe!
