Gene Taylor opened his campaign headquarters Friday. With less than ten weeks until the primaries, Taylor's campaign is in full swing. Taylor hopes that the opening of this campaign headquarters will give him the push he needs to win. Taylor also plans to open a campaign headquarters in Hattiesburg to help organize and mobilize his constituents. Taylor says that after receiving thousands of phone calls each week for lawn signs and information, he decided it was time to open a headquarters in Gulfport.
Taylor says, “We're thrilled that in about three weeks, we've put about 5,000 yard signs in people's yards. Not on vacant lots, which the other guy is doing, we're putting them in people's yards and that's them making a statement, 'We're voting for Gene Taylor.’ So I'm really excited again to be a pro-life, pro-national defense, pro-gun, for balanced-budget candidate.” Taylor says thus far, his most active campaign strategy has been going door-to-door.
