There is another D'Iberville project that's breaking ground: a $4 million sports complex.

The complex will include baseball, softball, and soccer fields. The city also expects the site to bring more tournaments to the Coast. The project fell behind schedule because of rainy weather earlier this spring, but the city still expects it to finish by the end of this year.

Bobby Eleuterius, the City Manager of D’Iberville, says, “We're preparing the site, and once the site is complete, we'll go out for bids for the lights, fencing, the concession stand, things like that. Once we're all said and done, we're looking at a 4 million dollar complex.” The city is also hoping to connect D’Iberville High School to the complex via nature trails.
