Customers didn't waste any time buying the freshly caught shrimp Wednesday. A steady flow of both locals and out of towners was on hand seizing the opportunity to purchase fresh Gulf shrimp.

Eric Torp says, "I actually didn't know. I was just driving home and I saw the boats out there and said, ‘Yeah, let’s stop by, see if they got them in here.’ I'm excited. I love it. I'm not from around here, but you get used to the food they have down here and it’s great." The first boat to arrive back at the harbor Wednesday sold its entire catch of 1,500 pounds of shrimp.
