Folks can get yet another taste of the Coast at the 22nd Annual Crawfish Music Festival. Vendors set up their booths Thursday afternoon to get ready for this evening's kick off. While there will be plenty of crawfish, there's sure to be something to satisfy everybody's palate with food booths selling everything from cotton candy to chicken on a stick. For the more adventurous, there are plenty of rides, including the Ferris wheel and fire storm. Popular bands will take center stage over the next two weekends. Coliseum leaders expect this year's festival to be bigger and better than ever.

Matt McDonnell, the Assistant Executive Director of the Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, says, "Great family value. When you go back and look over some of the names we've had over the years, and now they're super stars. Acts like Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Eric Church. All of those guys have played at our Crawfish Festival.” The festival just fired up Thursday evening and will go on through Sunday. It will be back in full swing next Thursday through Sunday as well. Next Thursday, News 25's own Sarah Duffey will be hosting WXXV's Search for a Superstar Contest as the final 25 contestants sing their hearts out and are narrowed down to just one: the competition winner!
