In Pascagoula, construction continues on the new Memorial Stadium field house. Both Pascagoula and Gautier High Schools are busy building state-of-the-art field houses.
Each facility will feature lockers for the players, training rooms, coaches’ offices, showers, as well as TVs in the dressing area for the players to review film. Administrators hope that these changes will help push their student athletes to the next level.
Wayne Rodolfich, the Superintendent of the Pascagoula School District, says, “We're trying to make it look like a little university for our kids, and we have a lot of history in this community as it relates to great athletes who've gone on to play college and professional level sports, so we wanted to give our young people the best training facilities that we could to help them reach those kinds of goals.”
The facilities are slated to be ready for use come the start of football season.
