The Cochran camp says opponent, Chris McDaniel, ran a good campaign and it's now time to move on. That was the main message at a press conference held Wednesday in Jackson.

Cochran says each campaign has the right to review and examine records, and they have provided detailed updates and other materials to the McDaniel campaign, as well as circuit clerks, to bring this issue to a close.

A Cochran supporter says, “What we have seen over these past few weeks is probably the most strenuous and detailed review of poll books and voting records throughout our state in modern Mississippi history.” The Cochran camp says in order to beat the Democrats, the Republican Party must unite.
