Drivers in Biloxi are noticing a series of flashing signs blocking off a major thoroughfare. As construction for the baseball stadium continues, new sewer, drainage, and water lines must be installed beneath local streets. As a result, construction crews have temporarily shut down two blocks of Caillavet Street between Highway 90 and Howard Avenue.

Vincent Creel, Public Affairs Manager for Biloxi, says, "They are positioning the barricades in such a way that local traffic, if they need to get to the Venue’s bar there, or if they need to get to the Medical Arts Pharmacy, they can do that. That's stuff that we had promised up front, and we’re going to do the best we can to get through this over the next 30 days." Biloxi officials are suggesting that anyone coming in from Ocean Springs take Lameuse Street north as an alternate route.
