Beach combers in Biloxi finally have another rest stop next to Snappers. The Coast Transit Authority (C.T.A.) has opened a comfort station on Highway 90 off Rodenberg Avenue. The stop was supposed to be opened in August, but has been fenced off for months as the contractor tied up loose ends. The C.T.A. opened the doors on Thursday, just in time for the weekend.
Kevin Coggin, the Director of the C.T.A., says, “We're past all that now. It's open, it's a great facility. We hope the citizens and tourists alike enjoy it. It's a great beach amenity. It also helps the vendor nearby. He was anxious to get it open, so everyone is happy today.” The C.T.A. is working with the Harrison County Board of Supervisors to plan a ribbon cutting for the new rest stop.
