It looks like the weather will be wonderful for the Great American Cleanup day Saturday in Biloxi. City workers spent the day prepping for the citywide cleanup, setting up trash bins and gathering cleanup materials. The event kicks off at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Individuals, businesses, organizations, churches, and civic groups are asked to select a specific area and make plans to clean that area. Trash bags and gloves will be provided at the Biloxi Town Green along with other goodies throughout the day.

Kay Carter, the Downtown Service Manager of Biloxi, says, "We'll have a cookout for everyone that cleans up. We've got free trees to give away. It will be first come first serve on the trees. It is one per family. We've got a paint can contest.” Lunch will be provided for all the volunteers after the cleanup.
