Wednesday afternoon, Biloxi opened bids for the contractors wishing to construct the baseball stadium. A number of contractors have entered bids to construct the M.G.M. baseball park at the Beau Rivage. The magic number Wednesday was 27 million.

The budget for this project was $36 million. Biloxi has borrowed $21 million towards that budget, and at this point, $9 million has already been spent or committed, so contractors will have to fall under that $27 million limit for the project to stay on budget. Another requirement for the project involves seating. The league requires the stadium to have a minimum of 5,000 seats. Click on the video at left to watch our live report from Biloxi.
