Calling all volunteers. The City of Biloxi has selected Saturday, April 26th as Great American Cleanup Day, a chance for volunteers to help make Biloxi clean and green.

Individuals, businesses, organizations, church and civic groups are asked to select a specific area and make plans to clean that area Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. Groups can also participate during a weekday if preferred.

Trash bags and gloves will be provided on Saturday morning April 26th at the Biloxi Town Green. Lunch will be provided for all that participate in cleaning up on Saturday

Those interested in participating in the Great American Cleanup should call (228) 435-6339 or email kmiller@biloxi.ms.us.

Also this weekend: It’s not too late to be a part of the Biloxi 5K and one-mile trek in downtown Biloxi. The Saturday morning event, which will attract hundreds, is part of Biloxi Public Schools month.
